CLEVELAND (WTVR) - Two courageous women stopped a purse snatcher in Ohio.

It happened at a gas station in Cleveland and the entire thing was caught on camera.

Police say a man in a blue shirt walked up to a woman in her car. Investigators say he asked her for a lighter, then grabbed her purse and tried to run.

Two women, including a gas station worker, go after him. They tackled him and sat on him until police arrived.

"He was saying please I can't breathe, I can't breathe. And I said you should have thought about that when you tried to rob that lady," says Lexanna Sullivan, one of those good samaritans.

The two women then used caution tape to tie the suspect's hands and a phone charger to tie up his feet.

"When you come to my station, I want you to feel safe and know that if anything happens, the people who own and work at the place are on your side," says gas station owner Linda Greene.

The women were able to subdue the man until police arrived and arrested him.
