LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – One Louisa County school will soon be torn down.

The district plans to demolish the 58-year-old Thomas Jefferson Elementary School next month. The school was damaged during August’s earthquake.

Once the building has been torn down, bricks from it will be given away to the public.

The county will hold a closing ceremony for the school on Friday. It says the facility holds a historical significance for everyone in Louisa.
