HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)- A court hearing is scheduled Wednesday for Franklin Robertson III, the 17-year-old accused gunman charged with second degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Lee-Davis High School student, Jyreffe Clark.
Police say 17-year-old Clark was shot and killed last December while he, Robertson, and two other teens were shooting a music video.
Charges for Robertson, who will turn 18 on May 17, were downgraded from first degree murder after the prosecution and defense agreed the shooting was accidental.
Last month, one of the two teens who admitted to moving Clark’s body out of the Mechanicsville home where the shooting place was released from jail on time served for an “accessory after the commission of a felony” charge.
