Fashion and Art will come alive inside the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Friday, May 11th with the 2nd annual Fashion Show. This year's theme: Art & Fashion in Black & White Fashion Show coincides with the special exhibition "Making History: 20th Century African American Art" on display now at the museum.
Art and Fashion in Black & White is in the Marble Hall at VMFA and features over 30 models that are community leaders, local models and students and music provided by DJ Extraordinaire "Danja Mowf." Featured commentators are Malcolm Venable and Adrienne Whitaker along with top designers.
Limited reserved seating available for $30 includes American-themed food and beverage. All other standing tickets are free but reservations are required online at www.vmfa.museum or call 804-340-1405.
Other events at VMFA include Jazz Café: Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. Friday Art and Wine: Fridays, 5-8:30 p.m. half-price drinks and free half-hour gallery tours. Maharaja: The Splendors of India’s Great Kings: May 21 – August 19.
