FORT LEE, Va. (WTVR) – Officials said Thursday that bow hunting will now be allowed, starting Friday, at Fort Lee.
The news comes after all hunting was suspended on the Fort Lee property because of new Army range safety regulations in April.
The change prohibited hunting in any place on a base that may have unexploded weapons like bombs, bullets, grenades or shells.
However, Fort Lee Garrison Commander Col. Rodney Edge said that other methods of hunting are still being assessed and that there will be another update in about a month.
