RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Thursday, April 19, is the day for parents across central Virginia to register their children for kindergarten.
The United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg has brought all ten school districts together for a second year to host registration on the same day.
Registration will take place at the school your child is expected to attend next school year. Parents can find that information by going to school their respective school district’s website or calling.

Parents should bring proof of residence, their photo I.D.’s, their child’s social security number, a School Entrance Health Form, and a certified, original birth certificate for the child.
