HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)-- Around 8:40 p.m. tonight, a traffic crash occurred that involved an on-duty police officer.
Henrico Police said the crash occurred at Libbie Ave. and Fitzhugh Avenue.
Police said that preliminary indications are that a vehicle was attempting to turn from westbound Fitzhugh onto Libbie Ave. and was struck by the police cruiser travelling on Libbie.
Both drivers and a passenger in the citizen’s vehicle were transported by rescue squad to an area hospital with non-life threatening, minor injuries.
Henrico Police Crash Investigator’s have been called to the scene to investigate the traffic crash.
