NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WTKR) - Campus police at Christopher Newport University (CNU) are investigating a suspected mobile meth lab in a dorm.
Just before 7 p.m. on Friday night, Wilson Hall was evacuated due to the suspected lab.
Michael Bill, a student, heard a fire alarm go off in his dorm room and he rushed out thinking it was just a drill.
Police and fire crews were surrounding his dorm. He then received a text message from campus police alerting him and other students to the situation.
Police discovered what they believed to be a mobile meth lab.
By the time students were allowed to re-enter Wilson Hall, police were searching the vehicle.
Suspects were taken into custody but police have not released any further information.
