HENRICO, Va. (WTVR) – The man who stabbed a co-worker in a West End Martin’s grocery store was found not guilty by reason of insanity Thursday afternoon.
Lawyers for Derrick James said a court ordered evaluation showed he had an undiagnosed medical condition.
James is accused of stabbing a women, then himself, at the Martin’s store in the Henrico Village shopping center in September.
James will undergo treatment at Central State Hospital and is slated to be re-evaluated this summer.
