RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Dense fog is rapidly developing this Wednesday morning in most of central Virginia. This is as a result of scattered showers and storms yesterday afternoon and overnight putting fresh moisture at the ground, combined with clearing skies aloft overnight, and light winds. Visibilities are dropping to near-zero in spots, with widespread visibilities at a quarter-of-a-mile.The Dense Fog Advisory will remain in effect until 10 a.m.
During your commute this morning, allow extra time. Slow down, use your low headlight settings, allow extra space between you and surrounding vehicles, and limit distractions in your vehicle.
