Whale sightings continue on VA coast

Posted

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (WTVR) – The warmer temperatures we’ve been getting lately don’t seem to be bothering the whales.

The Virginia Aquarium says they’ve had an exceptional year of whale sightings, so they are extending their “Winter Wildlife Boat Trips.”

The trips usually end in mid-March, but they are being extended until April 1.

The Virginia Aquarium says whales have been sighted on 60% percent of the trips, and some guests are getting the added bonus of seeing dolphins.

Each trip is two hours and run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It costs $28 per adult (ages 12+) and $24 per child (ages 4-11).
