Richmond, Va. (WTVR) - Friday night at the VCU Barnes and Noble book store. The number one best seller wasn’t a book.
It was VCU t-shirts.
“We're here getting our t-shirts..go VCU Rams!” said Katrina Buck.
“I got two t-shirts and a bumper sticker.., ” said Heather Wells.
And after Wednesday night’s win against Wichita State, store clerk, Sarah King said there were people waiting outside the store Thursday morning trying to get t-shirts.
Last year, when VCU made it to the Sweet 16, the store couldn't almost keep up with demand. But this time, the store is twice as stocked and hoops fans are trying to score a shirt early.
And with what could be another historic win for VCU against Indiana on Saturday, King says with a flick of the wrist sales will soar.
