RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – Expect major delays around the city Saturday due to several different events. Saturday night we will see lots of activity around the city because the VCU Rams are advancing to the next round and there will be multiple viewing parties around the city. Also, expect heavy traffic around the Coliseum because Sir Elton John will be in town. Expect delays around 7pm along Broad between 5th and 7th.
And of course Shamrock the Block will be closing down Shockoe Bottom Saturday. 17th and 18 will be closed between Main and Grace. Roadways around the Farmers Market will be closed too, including Main at 17th. Avoid the area all day unless you are attending the event. Please plan ahead and avoid drinking and driving.
