RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Virginia Commonwealth University Rams took a 3-point victory over the Wichita State Shockers, Thursday night in Portland, Oregon.
VCU, seeded 12, played a fast and furious game with the 5th seeded Wichita State Shockers.VCU finally edged them out with a final score of VCU 62, Wichita State 59.
The Rams will face the number 4 seed Indiana Hoosiers, who had a 13 point win over New Mexico State Aggies.

The winner will go onto the Sweet Sixteen in Atlanta.
"We had a great level of resolve," said Rams head coach Shaka Smart, when asked how the Rams felt as the Shockers took a brief lead.
"We wanted to bring a new identity and we did it tonight," said Bradford Burgess, who scored 16 points in the game. Burgess was with the team that made a surprise run to the Final Four last year.
