RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Police are investigating the city’s latest homicide and have asked for the public’s help.
On Saturday, March 3, at 10 p.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 3900 block of Old Brook Rd.
They arrived and found Sylvester Jones, 53, wounded from a gunshot wound. Jones was taken to VCU Medical Center where he later died.
No one is in custody at this time for the shooting, police said. Detectives are looking into reports that two black males were seen leaving the area. Both were described by police as short with medium builds.
Police said that one was wearing a red skull cap and black jacket, the other a green jacket.
