...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 below expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina and
central, south central, southwest, and west central Virginia.
* WHEN...Until noon EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition to the cold, continue to use
extra caution if traveling. The persistent cold has prevented ice
from melting off of untreated roads.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must go outside, dress in layers including a hat, face mask,
and gloves, and slow down if driving.
