ASHBURN, Va. -- The Native American logo no longer adorns the sign at the entrance of the team facility. Gold numbers have replaced it on each player's helmet.
The Washington Football Team took the field for its first full-contact practice of training camp on Tuesday at the place formerly known as Redskins Park.
The only reference to the old logo is on trashcans stationed on the sideline.
Otherwise, it's a fresh start for a storied franchise with new coach Ron Rivera, wholesale staff changes and a temporary name for at least the 2020 NFL season.
