RICHMOND, Va. -- The weekend basketball game between the University of Richmond and VCU has been postponed due to COVID-19.

The Richmond Spiders previously announced it has paused all team activities in response to results from COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.

The Spiders (9-3) were scheduled to face the Rams (9-3) Saturday at the Robins Center.

"Richmond continues to follow the guidance of University health officials and the Virginia Department of Health protocols," a University of Richmond spokesperson wrote in a statement. "No decisions have been made regarding any additional Richmond games."
