RICHMOND, Va. – Orchard House School is hosting “Brave New Girl,” a conference designed for educators and parents of adolescent girls. Workshops will address a wide variety of issues, ideas and strategies impacting girls in today’s world. Eva DeVirgilis, an award-winning actress and advocate for the empowerment of women and girls, will serve as keynote speaker. Award-winning writer Sara Pipher Gilliam will present a keynote address.

The conference is Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the middle school, which is located at 500 N. Allen Avenue in Richmond’s Fan District.
The early bird deadline to secure tickets is Friday, February 21. Scholarships for public school teachers and non-profit professionals are available.
