RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia is home to more than 107,000 women veterans, the largest percentage of women veterans per capital of any state in the United States. Women veterans, especially those with families, often face unique challenges and opportunities. Virginia and the Department of Veterans Services have made it a priority to support our women veterans, especially as they transition from active duty to the civilian world. On June 17 and 18, they will host the Annual Virginia Women Veterans Summit at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond.
