RICHMOND, Va. — Every Tuesday, members of the Virginia This Morning team share a list of six of their favorite things.

The topic changes, but the goal remains the same — to inspire you to try something new!

Since today marks the official start of fall, we're highlighting our favorite autumn activities! Did yours make the list?

1. Jessica Noll, co-host

Picking pumpkins is Jessica's top pick! Last year, she and her girls had a delightful visit to Richlands Dairy Farm in Blackstone. Richlands recently posted an update on the farm’s fall activities. They will be offering hayrides Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting October 2 through November 1. The corn maize will be open by donation only and pre-picked pumpkins are available at the creamery. Because of COVID-19, there will be no farm tours or petting zoo this year.

2. Bill Bevins, co-host

Fall ushers in football season. Need we say more?

3. Bill Bevins, co-host (bonus pick!)

Eating delicious pie is another one of Bill's favorite things about autumn. Apple, pumpkin and cushaw are his go-to flavors.

4. Evanne Armour, associate producer

Halloween on Hanover is Evanne's favorite fall tradition. For years, Hanover Avenue in Richmond's Fan District has been one of the city's most popular spots for Halloween fun. Neighbors deck out their homes in spooky decorations for thousands to enjoy. However, this year, The Fan District Association says the 1900-block of Hanover will not be closed for cars this year on Halloween due to COVID-19. The residents of this block have recommended no decorations, according to FDA.

6. Evanne Armour, associate producer (bonus pick!)

Is it really fall until you make a trip to Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville? Nothing beats the fresh apple cider donuts and gorgeous view. This year, they're offering two ways to safely visit the orchard in-person -- by taking a scenic tour to stock up on ready-picked apples and other fall favorites without leaving the car OR through ticketed entry. Click here for everything you need to plan your visit in advance.

6. Andrias White Murdaugh, guest manager & guest co-host

Visiting Clemson to cheer on the Tigers with the in-laws!
