RICHMOND, Va. - Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the shelter, not a peep could be heard, not even a “meow”. Once a year the Richmond Animal League (RAL) conducts “Operation Silent Night”, an initiative where every pet in the shelter gets sent to a loving home for the holidays. Lauren Decker with RAL shares more about this initiative and how it started 10 years ago. The campaign is currently underway until December 22nd.
