The Junior League of Richmond hosts its 75th Annual Book and Author Event

RICHMOND, Va. – The Junior League of Richmond is preparing for its 75th Annual Book and Author Event coming up in May. Event chair Kayley Perkins and assistant chair Deanna Hathaway visited Virginia This Morning to share the details.

This year’s featured books and authors are:

  • Melissa M. Martin – “Mosquito Supper Club: Cajun Recipes from a Disappearing Bayou”
  • Bob Deans – “The Bicycle Man”
  • Natalie Jenner – “The Jane Austen Society”
  • Phuc Tran – “Sigh, Gone: A Misfit’s Memoir of Great Books, Punk Rock, and the Fight to Fit In”
  • Grady Hendrix – “A Souther Book Clu’s Guide to Slaying Vampires”
  • Lily King – “Writers & Lovers”

There are two events happening on May 7. The luncheon at Tuckahoe Women’s Club begins at 12:30 p.m. There will also be an evening program at The Altria Theater, where doors open at 5 p.m.
