RICHMOND, Va. — Senior year is an exciting time for students and their families. While many traditions aren't possible right now, there are ways to celebrate the Class of 2020. CBS 6 and Virginia This Morning proudly offer Senior Salute.
Today, we share our congratulations with two students. Up first, Dae’Mon McCoy is a senior at Thomas Dale High School. He played basketball for the Knights. His family tells us he has a big heart and a great sense of humor. His aunt, who nominated him for Senior Salute, says he’s overcome a lot of tragedy in his life. She also shared that he spends time mentoring children at an organization she started in memory of Dae’Mon’s mother to raise awareness about domestic violence.
We are also celebrating Chloey. She’s graduating from Northumberland High School and Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School. She’ll be receiving her associate’s degree from Rappahannock Community College this month as well. Chloey is involved in several clubs and played field hockey. She has decided to attend James Madison University and plans to pursue a degree in the medical field, specializing in dermatology.
Congratulations, Dae’Mon and Chloey!
