RICHMOND, Va. - In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Ralph Northam and his team developed the VA Unified Command Health Equity Work Group. They’ve reached more than 25,000 Virginia residents and continue to host town hall meetings on Facebook and distribute masks and hand sanitizer to underrepresented communities in the commonwealth.
Dr. Janice Underwood, Chief Diversity Officer for Governor Ralph Northam, joined us by Zoom to share more information on the effectiveness of the task force and their plans to continue creating positive impacts in the weeks and months to come.
