RICHMOND, Va. - Each year, the Richmond Animal League hosts a calendar contest to showcase the cutest and cuddliest furry friends while raising funds to support the thousands of animals that Richmond RAL cares for throughout the year. Guest co-host Andrias White Murdaugh and her family golden doodle Sebastian chat with Lauren Decker, development coordinator of the Richmond Animal League, and her special friend Emmet about the joy that is the 10th Annual Richmond Animal League Calendar Contest.

Pets compete in a fundraising contest with the top fundraiser winning the 2021 cover. The top 12 pets will be featured on their own month of the calendar. Through August 22, pet lovers can register their pet (or pets) to compete for votes toward the contest and every $1 donated counts as one vote. To learn more about the Richmond Animal League or to submit your pet or cast your vote, click here to visit the 10th Annual Calendar contest webpage.

The Calendar Countdown Parking Lot Picnic Party will start at 6:30 p.m. on August 22nd and will feature food, prizes and fun. The party is free, pet-friendly and open to the public. Join the Richmond Animal League for the party located at 11401 International Drive in Richmond.
