RICHMOND, Va. - Unfortunately, phone scammers are already at work and looking for ways to manipulate concerned families. AARP is cautioning Americans to beware of calls from what appears to be AARP staff. Kathy Stokes, director of fraud prevention programs, trains us to identify scammers and avoid giving them critical information they can use against us. AARP offers the Fraud Watch Network Hotline for the reporting of scams and encourages you to use it for any concerns you may have. To learn more about the AARP Fraud Prevention Network, click here.
