RICHMOND, Va. - Danielle Durchslag is a New York-based artist, filmmaker, and educator. Her work has been shown at various venues across the world, including the New York Jewish Film Festival and the Ackland Art Museum just to name a few. Today, she joined our live show to tell us about her new movie, “Eleanor of Illinois”. In the 6-minute film, Broadway staff Judy Kuhn embodies Katharine Hepburn’s Oscar winning performance of Eleanor of Aquitaine from The Lion in Winter, but as a contemporary Jewish mother. The result is an explosion of the emotional, class and power dynamics of Jewish wealth. To learn more about Danielle and her film, visit http://www.danielledurchslag.com.
