Governor Northam to endorse Mayor Stoney for re-election

RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is expected to endorse Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney for re-election at a campaign event Tuesday.

Along with Northam's endorsement, Stoney is also expected to receive an endorsement from Del. Delores McQuinn and others.

Stoney will have five challengers as he seeks a second term this November.

Challengers include 2nd District Councilwoman Kim Gray, and challengers Michael J. Gilbert, M. Justin Griffin, Tracey V. McLean and Alexsis E. Rodgers.
