CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. –- A Chesterfield woman was killed Saturday in a crash on Genito Road, according to Chesterfield Police.
The deceased was identified as Kristin Lynn Shelek, 47, of Mosely.
"Shelek was driving a 2019 Nissan Kick west on Genito Road when she ran off the road to the right before re-entering the road and crossing into oncoming traffic striking a 2014 Subaru Forester head-on," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email. "Shelek was transported to a local medical center where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Subaru was transported to a local medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries."
The crash was reported at about 12:54 p.m. on Genito in the area of Brandermill Parkway.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
