CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- One person climbed through a window to escape a Monday morning house fire on Laurel Road in Chesterfield County.
The person, who was alone inside the home, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
That person's injuries were considered non-life threatening.
Investigators said the fire started in the kitchen by food left unattended on the stove.
