Shots fired at 3 Hopewell homes; police investigating

No one was injured in the shootings.

HOPEWELL, Va. -- Three homes were shot at in Hopewell on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday around 6:35 p.m., Hopewell Police responded to multiple calls for shots fired in the 2500 block of Jackson Street. Once on scene, officers found a home with multiple bullet holes.

A little under two hours later, at 7:58 p.m., they responded to the 500 block of South 18th Avenue where a caller reported that their home had also been shot multiple times. There were no injuries from either of Thursdays incidents.

Early on Friday morning, at 12:36 a.m., officers responded to another call of a home being shot. This time, in the 800 block of Kenwood Avenue.

"The police department continues to work with our community partners and seeks your help in interrupting the violence," Hopewell Police Chief Kamran Afzal told CBS 6.
