Man with firearm, knife arrested for trespassing at Hanover County high school

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A 19-year-old has been arrested for trespassing at a high school while armed with a gun and knife.

Around 2:25 p.m., administrators at Lee Davis High School in Mechanicsville saw a man trespassing in the school.

Police arrested 19-year- old Deashawn Winston of Louisa County and found a firearm, knife, and "suspected marijuana."

He has been charged with Trespassing on School Property, two counts of Possession of a Weapon On School Property (knife and firearm) and Possession of Marijuana.

Winston is being held on a secured bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
