HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Interstate 64 has reopened after downed power lines shut down the busy thruway for nearly four hours Sunday night.

Both directions of the interstate were closed near the Parham Road exit in Henrico's West End as storms blew through around 7 p.m.

Henrico Police said the Parham exit from I-64 east will "remain closed for an extended period of time" while utility crews make repairs.

VDOT officials said around 10:50 p.m. that all east and westbound lanes had reopened.
