CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A missing Chesterfield woman who disappeared earlier this week on her way to North Carolina has been found safe, police said Sunday afternoon.
Atisha Starnes was last seen Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m., according to Chesterfield County Police.
The 35-year-old told family members she was heading to a family residence in North Carolina, but as of Saturday she had not shown up, according to officials.
"Starnes has been located and is unharmed," police said in an email just after 3:30 p.m.
