RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginians collecting unemployment insurance will receive an extra $600 added to their benefits for all claims from March 29 until July 31.

VEC said that the increased benefits for workers will start to be paid starting next week.

The payments, to those who are eligible, will be made in conjunction with people's weekly claims.
