CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Getting creative to stay motivated and stay in shape. That’s exactly what one Chesterfield gymnast is doing.

Kyleigh Giraldo has been doing gymnastics for three years, but it’s safe to say the 10-year-old girl hasn’t taken a month off from going to the gym during her time at Virginia Elite Gymnastics Academy.

Her mom Megan posted a video on the gym’s Facebook page that showed Kyleigh is proving that you don’t need an actual beam or vault, or even three dimensions to practice a routine.

All she needed was some sidewalk chalk and her driveway to create her own equipment. That, combined with some creative photography, showed her nailing her moves and sticking the landing.

This video showed just one of the ways gymnasts at VEGA in New Kent County are staying motivated and staying in shape.

From t-shirt challenges, where advanced gymnasts try to put on a t-shirt while in a handstand, to daily online videos for younger gymnasts with Coach Bethany Allgood, the gym is doing what it can to keep members moving.
