RICHMOND, Va. -- Many COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled for Thursdays are closing down for the day due to an expected ice storm.
"Richmond and Henrico Health Districts are closing some COVID-19 vaccination clinics due to weather in the coming days," Richmond and Henrico Health Districts spokesperson Cat Long wrote in an email. "Folks should reference our website to know when their appointment is rescheduled and what to do next. We expect we will get everyone with a canceled appointment vaccinated within one week from their original appointment date."
The Chesterfield Health District (CHD) has postponed its second dose vaccination event scheduled for Thursday.
"CHD staff will work to reschedule this clinic for the earliest available opportunity and will reach out to and schedule those individuals who qualify," spokesperson Brookie Crawford wrote in an email. "At this time, the date of the rescheduled clinic has not been set."
