RICHMOND, Va. -- Food banks across the Commonwealth of Virginia have seen an increased demand during the coronavirus pandemic.
More people are turning to them for help fore than ever before.
So, CBS 6 anchor Candace Burns, with the help of Virginia Credit Union, wanted to make Thanksgiving a little easier for some local families.
In the latest edition of CBS 6 Gives, Burns made a special delivery to Feed More.
"We are so happy that we could help and maybe make somebody’s holiday a little more special," said Burns.
Feed More says $1 can provide five meals for families in need.
