HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — A wreck caused a traffic nightmare on I-95 north headed north away from the city Friday afternoon.
VDOT reported the crash happened in Hanover County near mile marker 88, which is close to Lickinghole Creek.
The wreck closed the all lanes of the interstate except for the left lane. However, all lanes were back open by 5:40 p.m.
At that time there was a six-mile backup.
Earlier this afternoon, a crash along I-95 north in Hanover County near the Caroline County line had traffic backed up for miles.
Just before 3 p.m., all lanes of the interstate had reopened, but a five-mile backup remained.
