The ‘Older Americans Act’ is celebrating its 50th Anniversary

RICHMOND, Va - Dr. Thelma Watson from Senior Connections and DARS Deputy Commissioner Bob Brink, visit the studio to share information about the 50th Anniversary of the Older American’s Act, which provides support for the well-being of older citizens and their independence. In celebration of the 50th anniversary, DARS and Senior Connections are raising awareness of the importance of encouraging older adults and caregivers to learn about resources available to them in their community.
