RICHMOND — In celebration of Independence Day, an area shelter is offering discounted adoption rates on the Fourth of July, and some offer specials throughout July.

One of the only shelters open for adoptions on the Fourth of July. All adoptions are $10 (usually $60)

Hound adoptions: $75
Adoptions for dogs over 4 years old are reduced by $25 for July!
Seniors Supporting Seniors: Adopters aged 55 and older qualify for reduced adoption fees for dogs ages 5-7 and waived fees on dogs 8 and up and cats 5 and up.
