RICHMOND, Va. -- Fire investigators planned to use school security video as part of their investigation into a small fire Tuesday morning at John Marshall High School in Richmond, according to fire investigators at the Old Brook Road school. Students were evacuated from  the school while firefighters worked to put out the small fire.

According to Richmond Public School officials, heavy smoke was reported coming from a classroom at the school around 10 a.m. Officials say the fire started after a student lit a text book on fire.

The small blaze caused "minimal damage" and the student will be disciplined by the school system after all security footage is reviewed.
