RICHMOND, Va. — Tuesday will be our first 90-degree day in Richmond in 2015, and we’ll do it in grand fashion, by tying the standing record for May 12th of 92 set in 1956.
Our first 90-degree day is well-above average for this time of year, but is very much on par with the average first 90-degree day we see each year. Our average first day to hit the mark is May 13th, and we’ll do it just one day ahead of schedule.
A cold front will move through the area Tuesday evening, bringing much milder air into region. Thursday will be the first day in since the first day of May that we have had a day in Richmond where the temperature was below-normal. The high that day was just 59!
Find a way to stay cool on Tuesday, and enjoy the beautiful weather the rest of the week! -Zach
