Monument 10K Winners, Kickers start the season with a tie

The 16th annual Monument 10K wrapped up under frigid conditions.  Tyler McCandless won the men's 10k with a time of 29 minutes 38 seconds.  He finished 1st and 2nd the last two years.

On the women's side, Kellyn Johnson Taylor repeated at 10K champion with a time of 33 minutes 20 seconds.

The Dash for Cash contestant, Tom Visotsky from Midlothian, took advantage of a two mile head start and outlasted some of the fastest runners in the world to win the event and the $2,500 first place prize.

The Richmond Kickers opened the season with a 2-2 tie against Wilmington.

ASSIST held their fourth annual High School All American and Regional All-Star games at Meadowbrook High School.
