HAYMARKET, Va. — A missing toddler from West Virginia was found safe in Northern Virginia Thursday evening.
An Amber Alert had been issued for Jaxson Patel — he was found in Haymarket around 11:15 p.m., WUSA reports.
Charleston police say the 20-month-old was with his maternal grandmother Tuesday, when a man named Aaron Taylor approached her claiming to be the boy’s father.
Police said Taylor took Jaxson. When he did not return in two days, the boy’s mother reported the child missing.
Taylor is now in police custody.
