RICHMOND, Va - Former Goochland High School student Katie Anderson passed away from Leukemia in March, 2014, and her memory has inspired the 1st Annual ‘Kolor Me Katie 5K.’ Katie’s mother Carolyn McKann, friend Hope Spoonhower, and Jason Funkhouser of the Goochland Family YMCA shared details about the race and how proceeds will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The event will feature two “kiddie kolor runs” as well as live music, local vendors, and fun post-race activities for the whole family to enjoy. The Kolor Me Katie 5K is Saturday, May 16th at 9am with the 5K Race beginning at 10am at the Goochland Family YMCA. For more information visit www.kolormekatie.com.
