Nashville, TN — A burglary suspect is in the Metro jail right now after his mother called police to turn him in, reported WSMV. Jeremy Pearson’s mother told police her son is responsible for a handful of commercial burglaries. Police said Pearson bragged about getting away with the crimes to several witnesses, including his mother.
His mother was reportedly able to give specific details about one of the burglaries at the L & M Market. Her information helped police recover a stolen cash register.
Police say Pearson lied about his identity and spit on two police officers while he was being arrested on Saturday.
He is facing seven charges, including burglary and assault of an officer.
