BRAZORIA, Tex. -- Have you ever been so fed up with a job that you wanted to quit right on the spot? A Texas school bus driver did just that -- she walked right off the job, leaving behind her bus full of elementary students earlier this month.
Surveillance video from inside the bus captures her frustration.
"You need to send somebody to get this bus and these kids," the driver said.
KPRC reportsthat before she reaches her boiling point, the video shows a student toward the back of the bus throwing something, but it's not clear if that's what set off the driver.
The woman stayed calm enough and waited for another driver to take over before walking off the bus, but some parents are still upset about how this all played out.
"Why if you were having a bad day that morning, why in the world would you come to work? Why wouldn't you call in and tell them, 'Listen I'm having a bad day. I'm going through some things I just can't deal with right now.' Why would you put my kids' lives in danger," asked Tonya Scot, a concerned parent.
The driver resigned, but some parents are calling for her to face criminal charges.
