If you have a peanut allergy or know someone who does, read this Martin’s recall

CARLISLE, Pa. — A recall by Classic Cooking LLC, prompted MARTIN’S Food Markets to remove from sale select Garden Lites products which may contain peanuts, an allergen that is not listed on the ingredient label.

The products are safe to consume for individuals who do not suffer from a peanut allergy.

The following products are included in this recall:

  • Garden Lites Southwestern Souffle, 7 oz., UPC 70486301720, with an expiration date of 4/5/2016, 5/18/2016 or 5/19/2016
  • Garden Lites Veggie Chili & Cornbread Melt, 7 oz., UPC 70486301726, with an expiration date of 4/26/2016

GIANT/MARTIN’S has received no reports of illnesses to date.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.Symptoms of food allergies typically appear from within a few minutes to two hours after a person has eaten the food to which he or she is allergic.

Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to GIANT/MARTIN’S for a full refund.
